Wall art made with vintage silk kimono.
This pink and white stripe kimono fabric has a weaving pattern of "Asanoha" (Hemp leaves) which appears depending on the light. Asanoha, hemp has strong vitality and grows vigorously on its own, thus this geometric pattern is often used as a talisman against evil in Japanese traditional garments. Different objects such as scrolls and kozuchi hammers are delicately painted. This fabric is from the 1950s. Vintage kimono fabrics might have some blemishes, however, we try to use the best preserved part. Please send us a message if you have any questions.
