This is a wall art made with a vintage silk haori Jacket from the 1940s.
This wall art depicts a peaceful Japanese village landscape in a very realistic gray-blue sky. Surrounded by the fields and nature, the traditional Japanese farmhouse with a thatched roof stands alone. Details are painted with different tones of blues. Detailed lines are assumed to be done with the resist dye technique, thus creating the clear lines on the painted areas. These landscapes were only painted at the bottom of the haori so only 2 pieces of the fabrics with this design can be found. If you are looking for a chill and one-of-a-kind unique art, this may be for you.
The fabrics we use are in excellent condition, though sometimes there are small marks, blemishes, and or creases indicative of the fabric's rich history. If you have any questions or concerns, please send us a message.
